The Nautilus CCF 8, 10 and 12 salt-water fly-reels feature the smoothest, toughest, most consistent—the best—fly-reel drag system available, at any price. Housed in a hermetically sealed center-hub, the CCF (patent pending) drag system is impervious to the elements—salt, sand, water, ice, grit—nothing can interfere with the reel’s sublime performance.

These lightweight reels are CNC machined from solid bar-stock aerospace grade aluminum, hard anodized for toughness, and built on a backbone of four oversized stainless-steel ball bearings that reduce friction and heat. All Nautilus CCF reels feature large arbor spools for fast line retrieval, near zero start-up inertia or line memory, and have ample backing capacity to handle long and hard running fish. A sculpted drag knob offers an infinite setting range from free spool to near lock down, and all CCF reels, also, feature a silent retrieve, smooth outgoing click,
hot-swapable spools for quick and easy line changing on the water, and are available in black or brushed silver anodizing,. NAUTILUS FEATHER WEIGHT

The Nautilus Feather Weight series inherited many of the most desirable features of the CCF Nautilus series—machined from aero-space grade aluminum, hard anodizing for extended durability in harsh environs, quick-release spools—yet weigh in at about half the weight. Built to cater to the needs of the fresh water and light salt water fly fisher, thee large-arbor reels are a quarter inch larger in diameter, than other reels in their weight class, which means the Feather Weight reels deliver faster line retrieval, less line memory, and smoother drag performance due to the decrease of start-up inertia. The FW spool-shaft houses a hermetically sealed carbon-fiber draw bar type disc drag that is up to any task that can be imagined for #3-8 weight lines in fresh or salt water, and the drag can easily be reversed for right or left-hand winding. If these reels didn’t fish so extremely well, they’d be displayed in a museum where people would just sit and absorb the wonder of them.
